Birthday Gift: 30 Days of Night

This is a personalized birthday gift for a vampire movie lover. Her favorite vampires are the ones from the movie 30 Days of Night. So I decided to create a new movie poster with her as a vampire.



The text wasn't made by me, that is why it is in a lower resolution. Must fix it before I send it away for printing.

I've been browsing the images of http://www.creaturesinmyhead.com/ the last few days and it seems impossible not to become inspired by them. So, I had to draw this nameless little fella tonight.

Transition

This weeks theme on Monday Artday is transition. This made me think of a frog and its transition from egg to tadpole

to metamorph

to fullgrown frog

Originally I was only planning on drawing the metamorph phase but it ended upp as the fullgrown frog above. Then i decided to do the fullgrown frog and the tadpole but the tadpole turned into the metamorph image. Of course, then I had to do the tadpole as well. Which means I actually drew these three images in backwards order.

Maybe I need to draw the egg as well to make the series complete.

IF: Stitch

The word stitch immediately made think of something like a ragdoll, a simple doll made from pieces of cloth and held together by coarse stitches. Somewhere along the way though, while I was drawing it, it transformed into a voodoo doll.
