Killer Troll

Inspired by the theme Mask on Illustration Friday. Perhaps the fact that the theme was posted on Friday the 13th had something to do with the result as well...

The Mechanics of Love

Inspired by the theme contraption on Illustration Friday

I wish it was that easy...

Imagine if healing or opening up your heart was as easy as opening or closing a zipper?

Diary

Here is my entry for this weeks Illustration Friday. What I actually intended to do was to draw a book with all sorts of strange security devices but in the end I couldn't really come up with any that would fit and/or be obvious enough. Instead I give you this:

Why it has been unlocked is for you to figure out. Have someone been reading it without permission perhaps?

Man & Dog

Here is a drawing I made from a photo taken by my girlfriend at the
Medieval Week on Gotland last summer. I started drawing it in black and white by the end of August and hadn't really touched it again for nearly a year until yesterday, when I decided to finish it.

Since I always keep several versions of my drawings I decided to combine them into a video clip. Here is how this drawing came to be:

Some day I will try to remember to create an actual time lapse recording of the process.

Stina

"Just once in my life I'd like to get a drink without hearing the same tired old jokes"

It has been well over a year since I last posted anything here, so I thought it might be time. Since I didn't know what to draw I went over to Monday Artday to see if I might find some inspiration there and it turned out that last weeks challenge was horse and the challenge ends tomorrow. So I sat down and did a quick ink sketch of the first thing that came to my mind...

Birthday Gift: 30 Days of Night

This is a personalized birthday gift for a vampire movie lover. Her favorite vampires are the ones from the movie 30 Days of Night. So I decided to create a new movie poster with her as a vampire.

The text wasn't made by me, that is why it is in a lower resolution. Must fix it before I send it away for printing.

Creature

I've been browsing the images of http://www.creaturesinmyhead.com/ the last few days and it seems impossible not to become inspired by them. So, I had to draw this nameless little fella tonight.

Transition

This weeks theme on Monday Artday is transition. This made me think of a frog and its transition from egg to tadpole

to metamorph

to fullgrown frog

Originally I was only planning on drawing the metamorph phase but it ended upp as the fullgrown frog above. Then i decided to do the fullgrown frog and the tadpole but the tadpole turned into the metamorph image. Of course, then I had to do the tadpole as well. Which means I actually drew these three images in backwards order.

Maybe I need to draw the egg as well to make the series complete.

IF: Stitch

The word stitch immediately made think of something like a ragdoll, a simple doll made from pieces of cloth and held together by coarse stitches. Somewhere along the way though, while I was drawing it, it transformed into a voodoo doll.
